Roberto Perestrello
Originally from the island of Madeira, Chef Roberto brings to UVA the warmth of the Iberian Peninsula, the spirit of the Atlantic and a deep appreciation for its rich culinary traditions. Alongside his work at UVA, he is also the Head Chef of the Portuguese restaurant Tasca, where he celebrates the flavours and traditions of Portugal. At UVA, Roberto’s cooking brings together simplicity and refinement, guided by a deep respect for classic cuisine. He takes familiar flavours from Spain and Portugal and gives them a fresh, elegant and personal interpretation, creating dishes that feel both rooted in tradition and distinctly contemporary.
